Prof.V.T.Srinivasan was born on 15/8/ 1912. His Ancestors hailed from Vengalathur, In North Arcot District and the place is located near Kanchipuram(Kanchipuram-Vembakkam bus route). His father was Mr.V.T.Ekambarem, who served as a Tahsildar in Cuddapah , Andhra Pradesh and his mother was Kamakshi. He was educated in The Christian College, Madras And in Annamalai University.
He along with Sri.K.Srinivasa Rao & Sri. K.Lakshminarayana Rao started The Bangalore High School , which was well known for its quality education. Later , they started The Vijaya college at Jayanager, And Prof. V.T.Srinivasan was Principal of the College from 1951-1972. He was a professor in English and Mathematics.His method of teaching Shakespere's Dramas had won the acclaim of student community that even students from other colleges thronged the lectute hall in Vijaya College.Dr.Sir C.V.Raman, the nobel prize winner had acclaimed that English and Mathematics was a rare combination and only Prof.Srinivasan had possessed it.
Mrs.Ramalaksmi was his first wife.She hailed from Thennempet Village in North Arcot District and she expired in 1948.Sri.V.T.Nagaraj, Late Smt.V.T.Bhuvaneswari, Smt.V.T.Shyamala,Shri.V.T.Venkataram, And Sri.V.T.Chandrasekar are their children. Shri. V.T.Venkataram ,the author of this blog is his second son.Prof.V.T.Srinivasan married Smt. Meenakshi in 1950 and Smt.V.T.Vijayalaksmi, Sri.V.T.Anand, Smt.Geetha And Smt. V.T.Malini are children born to them.
